TPL0102 query

I am trying to use TPL0102 in the way shown in the pic,my question is that if I tie VSS to ground is the circuit will work or not? and I will tie VDD to 5 volts.

please help me out here.

Here in the pic HA LA WA are the pin of the TPL0102.

    Is your sine wave centered around 0V (GND)? If you have any negative voltage swing, you will need your VSS to be at a voltage lower than 0V. Basically, VSS should be at or below the lowest voltage you will see applied to a pin.

    Actaullay I am trying to avoid the negative power supply I want to ground the the Vss pin.Ya my sin wave(amplitude 500mV) is Bipolar and mean is 0V.
    Thats why I am using that divider to give the offset.The model is working fine on resistor model of the pot but I want to know for sure is it going to work if connect with TPL0102.

    Sourodeep,

    I now understand what you're trying to do, thanks for the explanation.

    With that being said, I think you'll be ok connecting VSS to ground (And ground to ground). If the models are showing the voltage applied to the H pin are always positive, then you should have no issues with this approach.
