Hi Team,

My customer considers to use DS92LV3221/2 but he thinks t_CIT spec is pretty strict.

Is there any recommended oscillator?
He would like to know it.

We will look into this and get back to you with feedback tomorrow. My understanding is that usually these inputs are provided by the clock that originates from an FPGA or ASIC. Can you describe the system application for this device and why an external oscillator is needed?

Thank you for your support.
It seems there is no reason that external oscillator is needed. It is just my customer's idea.

Is there any reference schematic or block diagram that includes FPGA or ASIC?
I think it is helpful for my customer.

Hi Yaita-san,

Nearly all of our reference schematics show how to design schematics and layouts for the serializer and deserializer products specifically.

There is one fairly complex reference design involving TI's automotive processor (Jacinto 6) that uses a SerDes pair from our automotive team, and this one uses a DS90UH925Q/926Q. Thus, input clock requirements to the serializer are comparable to the DS92LV3221. We can provide this reference design but only under an NDA.
