for optimal trace length for SFI interface.

    According to the SFF-8431 standard the SFI Typical PCB Reach:

    The SFI channel may be implemented with either microstrip or stripline strfictures. Exmaple host boards designs with typical PCB reaches are shown in the next table:

    By the way, you could take a look in the standard SFF-8431 to get more information about the recommendations regarding the PCB designing.
