TPS65982 / SWD and I2C connectors

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65982

My customer is going to design their evaluation board with TPS65982.
They have an idea that TI might be able to connect any TI’s debug board or something to the EIZO boards when problems happen.
Do you think which type of conectors they should use for SWD and I2C?

  • Hello Saito-san,

The TPS6598x Host Interface Utility Tool natively supports the Total Phase Aardvark SPI/I2C programmer (SPI/I2C), FTDI (SPI/I2C) and USB endpoint (I2C) to interface with a TPS65982 device. The user's guide for this tool describes how to use each interface to interact with the TPS65982 whether for debugging or updating the flash.

  • Hello,

I has installed the 'TPS65982x Host Interface Utility Tool' with 'FTDI USB driver' and USB Endpoint driver' in Win7 64bits and Win10 64bits PC. But the Driver cannot be recognized. The message show the 'Unknown USB device...'

I try to install the Tool in Win7 32bits PC with those drivers. It is OK. But the PC cannot run the 'TPS6598x Utilities GUI’ Application. This application can run in Win 64bits platform.

How can I work with 'TPS65982x Host Interface Utility Tool' no matter the Win 32bits or Win 64bits system?

    Thank you very much!
    Kelvin
