Hi,

Please let me know that what is the default I2C slave address for TPS65982 EVM kit?

In firmware user guide, it mentioned that we can decide the slave address from below settings

I2C_ADDR_DECODE[2:0]

OTP[1:0]

where can find these values?

Hi Raja,

The default I2C slave address for the TPS65982-EVM is 0x38.

You can find more information on the Slave address setting in section 8.5 of the TPS65982 datasheet.

Hi Karl,

Thanks for quick response..

In schematic, the signals DEBUG_CTL1 & DEBUG_CTL2 are pulled down so if i consider like this then slave address will be 0x20, Are the default firmware masking these bits while booting to make slave address as 0x38?

Hi Karl,

In Table10. I2C Address Resistance , if the value is zero ohm means that it is Master also in schematic it is 0 ohm resister, please could you clarify this why it is called as Master.
