TCA9555 - Clock Stretching

The TCA9555 does not clock stretch, and it actually lacks the internal hardware to clock stretch. Internally, there is a pull-down FET on the SDA line only.

Is there a problem you are experiencing?

I would assume it has no problems if something else on the bus is clock stretching

The TCA9555 can handle clock stretching from other slave devices on the bus. It is the positive edge transitions on the clock line that latch data into the registers, not the length of time between high pulses.
