If customer want to validate the power consumption of TPS65982 as specified in datasheet for sleep, idle and active mode, how can we configure TPS65982 into these 3 modes?
THanks!

Antony,
There are 2 registers involved:
Reg. 0x70 - Sleep Config (length = 2 bytes)
Reg. 0x20 - System Power (length = 1 byte)
They are documented in the FW User's Guide, but the exact operation may not be clear.
I will follow up with more details after I run an Aardvark script to perform this operation.
The Config Tool will soon be update to support sleep mode in FW without Host Interface commands.
Hi Brian,
Thanks. The urgency of this topic from customer is because they need to know if there's any schematics design is related to enter idle or sleep mode. Currently they always supply 5V to PP_CABLE no matter a type-C device is connected or not. They'll finish next schematics in two days. May you provide your comments regarding any potential schematics concern regarding this firstly? Their final purpose is to save as much current consumption as possible from TPS65982 when there's no type-C device connected with 3.3V input supplied. It's acceptable to use EC or from config tool to achieve this.
Previous I heard that the option of "System power state" and "I2C Relax Response Sleep Level" are related. But it seems not work on customer board.
Thanks!
Antony
