Hi Everyone,

Now my customer is evaluating TUSB8041 and hope to swap polarity of USB SS upstream port. Following is their requirement.

Default : TXP_UP、TXM_UP、VDD、RXP_UP、RXM_UP

Customer requirement : TXM_UP、TXP_UP、VDD、RXM_UP、RXP_UP

I can find the way to customize for USB2.0 in Table 25 of datasheet, but I can't find for USB SS. So I would like to know if it can be done or not.

Hello Sonoki,

USB 3.0 superspeed signals support polarity swapping automatically. There is no need to set it in the hub.

Thank you for quick response. I found following description in datasheet page 37.

To ease routing, the polarity of the SS differential pairs can be swapped. This means that SSTXP can be routed to SSTXM or SSRXM can be routed to SSRXP.

I understand that this means that USB 3.0 superspeed signals support polarity swapping automatically. Is my understanding correct?
