I'm using the TLK2541, but can't get it to sync.
The datasheet is not clear to me on how the sync process should be done.
The serdes is used in 8 bit mode with the 8b/10b encoding enabled.
Only during start-up of my system I have the possibility to apply a code on the Td0-Td7 input.
What will be the right sequence to make the sync happen?
I assume it will be like:
- have all control and data lines low.
- apply sync comma on Td0-Td7, like the diagram shows. That is: Td0=Low, Td1=Low, Td2=High, Td3=High, Td4=High, Td5=High, Td6=High, Td7=Low.
- make CodeTypeIn (Td16) =High.
- make SyncEn=High
Expected behaviour: (which is not seen)
- CodeTypeOut will go High
- Applied comma shows up on Rd0-Rd7.
But non of this happens.
What am I doing wrong?
