USB-to-GPIO adapter not found in SigCon Architect

Hello,

I have purchased the USB-to-GPIO to interface with a DS100KR800 Evaluation kit and wanted to explore the chip functionality. My problem is that the USB device is detected by my Windows 7 (x64) computer but the SigCon Architect reports that it can not find the "USB2ANY" device. I assumed that the USB-to-GPIO adapter is in fact the correct interface for the device.

Is this an isses with Windows or is the SigCon Architect to old?

Hi Reisswolf,

SigCon Architect is not designed or tested to be used with USB-to-GPIO. It uses a USB2ANY, which means that the drivers and code used to control the MSP430 MCU is different and therefore incompatible.

Do you have a local TI sales rep contact? If so, we may be able to arrange to send you a DPS-DONGLE-EVM (www.ti.com/.../snlu178.pdf, p. 14) which you can then use to talk to the DS100KR800 as a USB2ANY device.
