Would you mind if we ask TUSB211?

Could you help provide us the detail datasheet?

<Question2>
USB's maximum transmission length is 5m.
So using this device(TUSB211), is it possible to expand maximum transmission length?
Our customer would like to expand the maximum length from 5m to 10m.
If it is possible to expand the maximum length, is there operating experience for application?

<Question3>
It is relation Question2, what is TUSB211 used for?

Hi Matsumoto-san,

For a 10m cable application we would recommend using two TUSB211 re-drivers, one at both ends of the cable.

Our customer would like to expand the length to 15m.
TUSB211 can be used for a 15m application?

Hello Alpha,

Then the customer have to use three TUSB211 in cascade, also the customer might need to compensate the VBUS loss due to the large cable.

Hi Hirotaka-san

Sorry for the late response. I have missed your questions due to hollidays.
As Diego said, for 15m cable long you would need the use of 3 TUSB211 (One at each end and one at the middle) although the use of cables longer than 10 m are not recommended.
Regarding your question #3, TUSB211 (High Speed Signal Conditioner) is being used in active cables, motherboards, CarPlay, Cell phones, Backplane, Televisions, Tablets, and almost every device with USB2.0 connection can be upgraded with TUSB211, many customers have designed with it for any kind of projects.

HI, TI team.
I dont understand, why use two TUSB211 re-driver, one at both ends of the 10M cable?
Could I use only one TUSB211 re-driver ic at middle of the 10M cable?
what reason and different about that?

Hello Magus,

The TUSB211 compensates the RC loses on the cable by improving the slew-rate, a 10m cable will have huge RC which increases among the distance due to the parasite resistance, so the best results would be to correct the signal at the endpoints of the cable, by placing two TUSB211, each device as close as possible to te connector.
