Error while using DS92LV0421/0422

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV0421

I've designed boards using  DS92LV0421/0422 to transfer video through fiber.

When we test those boards with normal video, everything is fine.

But when video become brighter, say more '1's in datastream, frame rate begin to drop. (we use frame graber at the deserializer end to grab video stream).

I think it is caused by bit error, but cannot fix it.

Can anyone provide useful information?

  • Hello,

To help us evaluate what may be happening, please help provide us with the following information:

    1. Copy of the schematic.
    2. Any scope or frame-grabber outputs that will allow us to compare between the "normal video" and the brighter video.
    3. What is the operating frequency?

It seems to me that perhaps there is an issue with DC balancing due to the higher presence of 1's in the bitstream when the video is brighter. However, it will be difficult for us to diagnose the issue without more information.

    Thanks,

    Michael
