Hi,

in the Datasheet I could only find typical supply currents which will not allow to calculate worst case power requirements but also to get WC power dissipation numbers.

On the other hand I did see that the requirements on the power supply like the LDO's which I think have too much headroom.

Can I get some more accurate max. numbers on supply currents?

Maximum numbers will vary between implementations, that is why typical numbers are usually published, nevertheless I will ask to the Device's champs and they will come back here with more comments.

Hi Elias,

thanks for following up on that. Maybe you can ask for a something like WC currents are not more than xx% over the typical numbers.

For now, we only have the information showed at the sections 4.4 y 4.5 on the datasheet.

Do you need any specific parameter?

Hi Gerardo,

I think these numbers do not represent WC currents and looking to the LDO WC requirements there is only mentioned 30mA for 1.8 Volt, but not for Vbat, Vddio and Vbus.

I understand that there are different modes the device can be used but how should a customer design a proper power supply and do a good thermal assessment without WC numbers?

Looking to the mentioned table which represent typical numbers, how much guardband would we add to these numbers to have enough safety to calculate WC numbers 10%/20%........

Can you check with the PE.

Hi Gerardo,

yes, customer is Nokia and the device is used in high volume within their Basestation (service I/F)
