Could you let me know the value of Vc, Vwm and Vbr of TPD2E007, please?
My customer will use this device for ESD protection of SN65HVD75.
But he worries whether TPD2E007 can be used for ESD protection of SN65HVD75.
Is　Spec OK?

Hi Shimizu,

The VBR is +/- 14 V. The Reverse working voltage (VRWM) = +/- 13.5 V.

V_Clamp (VC) is usually specified under a condition of current and time, typically IEC 61000-4-5 8/20 surge. In this case it is rated 170 Watts at 4.5 A 8/20 surge. Therefore VC = 37.8 V.

The SN65HVD75 should be able to handle the 37.8 V transient during a 4.5 A 8/20 surge, I see it is rated +/- 12 kV ESD. Also, the signal range on the A/B pins of SN65HVD75 can take a -7 V to 12 V signal range.

We may have an even lower clamping device. Please let me know the following:

a) What is the voltage range the customer is using (swinging from where to where?) This sets the +/- VRWM
b) what protection levels and standards are they trying to meet? (IEC 61000-4-2 or -4, or -5, etc).

We're looking for something to change in CDSOT23-SM712 .
This is showed in datasheet page of 22.

Is there TI product to change in CDSOT23-SM712?

Voltage range is -7~12V.

Hi Shimizu,

The only device we have in SOT23 that is P2P with this isn't designed to handle the negative voltage swing. TPD2E007 is the only similar device.

Hi Guy,

I'm sorry.
Could you help me the proposal for cusomer, please?

Customer uses SN65HVD75.
Input voltage level is -7~12V.
Two chip proposal is OK.

I recommended CDSOT23-SM712 in datasheet.
But CDSOT23-SM712 is high cost.
I would like to propose TI IC.

We don't care strictly about protection levels and standards.
Isn't there something which can be proposed at TI product?
