Hi Team,

I would like to ask about "0x51 DP SID Configuration Register Definition" in Firmware User's Guide(page.68).

I found "MultifunctionPreferred" for bits 32.
What does Multifunction mean?

2)
The register of 31-24 and 23-16 bits seems it indicate pin assignment for UFP_D and DFP_D.
I believe these are for HD3SS460 and it isn't required to set if my customer doesn't use HD3SS460.
Is my understanding correct?

Yaita,

1. Multifunction is referring to using the single interface (or cable) for multiple functions, such as data, audio, video, and other capabilities.

2. You are correct - these bits are specific to the HD3SS460. They define which pin assignments are supported (as found in the VESA DisplayPort Alt Mode Standard) regarding sending and receiving DP signals.
