I plan to use an RS422 transceiver from TI in a custom board for aerospace application.

I need to specify the bus transient behaviour to the customer.

I couldnt find the transient bus characteristics in ti datasheets for RS422 transceivers.

Kindly provide the information on the same.

Maximum baud rate:1Mbps

How many RS422 channels do you need?
Do you prefer to use 3.3V or 5V power bus to run the drivers and receivers?
Do you control the design both sides on the RS422 bus? (meaning can I get creative)
How long is the cable run? (not very important)

Hi Ron Michallick

The board i design has three rs422 channels to a processing unit.

Supply voltage i prefer to use 3.3V

The cable length maximum about 2m.

I have control on only one side , the processing unit is done by another vendor.

I recommend AM26LV31E

I found this image of a 20Mbps receiver signal over 30 meters of CAT5e cable.

I will look for shorter cable data which should be even cleaner.
