Hello,


I am testing USB PD with the TPS65982-EVM, these boards are ok, I can decode the full BMC packets sent over the wire, but I'm facing one problem.

When trying to enter BIST Modes, the boards just don't seem to respond. I can issue the PR_SWAP command or HARD_RESET commands, but I can't seem to get them into BIST modes.

Please help,

    Thanks for posting on the forums to get help, because there may be other people researching BIST mode who have not yet posted.

    To be honest, this is a rarely used mode and therefore I haven't answered any questions on it yet.

    However, it seems apparent that there is an undocumented 4CC Command called 'BIST' which is written to CMD1/2 and requires properly formatted inputs into DATA1/2 to work correctly. Unfortunately, I do not have enough documentation available at this moment to answer the question thoroughly.

    Please allow me a day or two to do research and give you a sufficient answer.
