SN65HVS885 Package

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65HVS885

Hello,

I am trying to create a footprint for the SN65HVS885 PWP HTSSOP package. I cannot find information regarding the size an position of the thermal pad. Datasheet and package drawing pdf refer to a separate sheet which I cannot find.

  • Hi Joerg,

I'm sorry if I am missing something here, but it looks like the current version of the datasheet (www.ti.com/.../sn65hvs885.pdf) has thermal pad information on page 19. Is this the data you need?

    Regards,
    Max
  • Hi Max,

thank you for the response. Sorry, but I cannot find any thermal pad related information on page 19, even when loading the datasheet from the above link.

There must be something wrong with the version that is currently online. Below is the information I find on page 19.

I found the original version from 2009 on a local drive and in this old version there is indeed thermal pad information on page 19 and a example board layout on page 20. Can you please confirm that this 'old' information is still correct?

    Best regards

    Joerg

  • Joerg,

Sorry for the confusion. The datasheet was just updated this month, and I didn't realize the newest version had already been published to the web. (When I load it in my usual browser, I see an older cached version.) Looking at the new datasheet, it looks like the thermal pad information is now present on page 26. It does look to be the same info included in the older revision.

Could you please double-check that the packaging info is now showing up for you? (The packaging info is pulled from a separate database than the rest of the information in the datasheet and is appended automatically. So, sometimes it can take a day or two to update when changes are implemented. If you viewed this updated datasheet immediately after release, it's possible that some of the information had not been loaded correctly yet.)

  • Hi Max,
that looks good. Now the missed pages are in the datasheet.
    Thank you.
