DS125DF111 eeprom programming tool?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS125DF111, ALP

Is there a tool that will program an I2C eeprom with a DS125DF111 configuration? I am not sure of the format to be put into the eeprom. I know about the header but whats the format of the register data? I have downloaded a GUI that programs the device(Nice) but I don't see how to transfer that configuration into an I2C eeprom that will be read at reset.

Thanks,

Bill

  • Hi Bill,

One of my colleagues, Michael Lu, is going to respond to this E2E post. Michael is traveling today but we will respond by Monday afternoon.

  • Hi Bill,

The recommended format that we use to write the I2C EEPROM for any of our high speed repeater devices is hex file format.

I believe that the GUI you are currently using  for programming the DS125DF111 in Slave Mode is Analog LaunchPad (ALP). We are within a week or two or unveiling our new GUI for retimers, SigCon Architect, where you will be able to pull programmed settings from the Slave Register Map over to the EEPROM hex file. When ready, the new retimer profiles to run in SigCon Architect will appear in the SigCon Architect Tools Folder.

In the meantime, I am happy to help with providing guidance regarding how to write the EEPROM for retimers. If you provide me with an e-mail address where I can reach you, we can take the discussion offline and I can send you a draft document with details about retimer EEPROM programming.

    Thanks,

    Michael
