DS90LV012A Timing.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90LV012A

Question on DS90LV012A. I am looking at the
switching characteristics and want to confirm what I think it is saying 1)
Differential Propagation Delay Min 1.0, Typ 1.8, max 3.5ns For any given lot of
parts, the prob delay will be between these limits. Each device, from whatever
lot, will have its own value of prop delay and that value will not change
assuming that the environment and power are the same 2) Part to Part skew
(TsKD4) differential part to part skew. This is telling me that the skew
between to parts from different lots will have a skew from 0.5ns to 1.5ns given
the voltage input, loads, and environment are the same. So there is an
uncertainty of 1.5 ns max from part to part. 3) A given part, assuming that the
environment, load, or input voltage stays the same, will have the same skew. In
other words, it won't drift over time.

  • Hi Gary,

The value of the propagation delay is designed to remain within the datasheet specification for the life of the device.

The skew between any two devices will be less than 1.5ns.

#3. We only test to the datasheet specification, slight drifting over time cannot be specified.
