DS90UB928-Q1 - BIST Mode

Guru 20090 points

Hello,

(1) BISTC logic
Could you please let me know the logic of BISTC pin ?
In the datasheet, we can select the external PCLK mode or the 33MHz Internal oscillator clock frequency via BISTC pin.
However, I couldn't find the description of BISTC pin.

(2) BIST Control register
In the register map osc clock source bit, the setting of 00 and 01 are same.
Is this correct?
Can we select the PCLK oscillator mode via BIST control register?

Best Regards,
Ryuji Asaka

  • Asaka-san,

1). BISTC selects 0'b: External PCLK frequency in the Serializer or 1'b: Internal clock oscillator in the Serializer, 33Mhz.
2). This will be updated. That will be These register bits are automatically written to the OSC CLOCK SOURCE bits (ex. Register 0x14 of the 925) in the Serializer after BIST is enabled. See the appropriate Serializer Register descriptions.
