Hello Team,

There is a case only having either of the power supply, VDDA or VDDB, for TCA9517. Would TCA9517 have any problem if customer application may stay in this state for a very long time ?

Best Regards,

Kawai

  • Hello Kawai-san,

Short answer is no, there would be no damage/problem to the device if it stayed in a state where only 1 power rail was high for a long time.

The device features a powered off high-Z mode, where if any of the power rails go to 0, then the SDA and SCL ports get placed into a high impedance mode, to prevent signal corruption.
