Does the TUSB9261 come preloaded with firmware, or does the user have to flash the chip before using it for the first time?

Also, I see in the EVM manual it states that the TI firmware takes into account the swapping of the SSTX and SSRX P and N pins to the SATA connector. Is this enabled by default in the firmware that is already on the chip (if there is firmware there) or do I have to download the firmware that is on the TI site and flash that to the chip to get that support?

    Hello,

        I don't remember if the firmware is pre-loaded, but you can download the firmware from the website, you will get an installer that provides the default firmware for the EVM, and an alternate version for non swapped SATA pins.
