DS90UB940 operation mode

Hi, TI, Customer want to use the device in "1 lane FPD-Link III Input, 2 MIPI lanes Output" mode. Please let me know the coufiguration of the device with Table 7 and 8. Is it OK to set the device as #3 config of Table 7 ? Under this mode, is it possible to set the device as #1 config of Table 8 ? (Customer want to use STP and 400KHz I2C on BC.) Any way , The device has alot of "mode". Please let us know the meaning of 1. "MODE" in Table 7 2. "CSI LANE" in Table 7 3. "CSI SEL" in Table 8 4. "MODE" in Table 8
  • Hi TI, Could you please answer the questions ?

  • Hi Toshi,

Yes, you can use Mode #3 for MODE_SEL0 (Table 7). If you look at the 3 columns of Mode, CSI Lane, and Replicate, they form the 3 bit decode of this analog input. It ranges from 000 to 111, and the last column of Output Mode describes what each row means.

The Mode column for MODE_SEL1 (Table 8) is similar, it just pairs with the CSI_SEL column to show the 3 bit decode. Mode #1 in this table corresponds to CSI port 0 being active, 5Mbps back channel rate, and STP cable. If that matches the customer application, then this mode is correct.

    Thanks,
    Jason
