SN65LV1023A / Input timing of REN and /PWRDN

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LV1023A, SN65LV1224B

Hi,

Please let me ask about input tiimng of REN and /PWRDN. My customer control (rise and fall) REN and /PWRDN with the same timing. Can you accept this control? I can't find the requirement about this timing.

Best Regards,

Sonoki / Japan Disty

  • Hello,

The implementation seems to be fine, however if the customer find any issue I recommend to control PWRDN first and then REN for power on and vice versa for power off.

    Regards,
    Diego.

  • Hi Diego,

Before I asked about this, but I mistook the pin name. SN65LV1023A is serializer, so it's DEN, not REN.

So let me clarify about sequence of DEN and PWRDN again. Do you recommend PWRDN first and then DEN for power on and vice versa for power off?

On the other hand, regarding SN65LV1224B deserializer,is the recommendation the same with serializer? That means control PWRDN first and then REN for power on and vice versa for power off?

    Best Regards,
    Sonoki
  • Hello Sonoki,

The combination of SN65LV1023A & SN65LV1224B is fine. What I recommend is to turn On the deserializer first, an then the serializer, following the sequences you just mentioned for power up and down.

     Regards,

    Diego.
