i am currently trying to develope a solution for the connection of a device which has an I2C interface with a device that uses RS485 interface. Is there a ready solution such as a specific ic ???

    Hi George,

    The interface team does not have an IC that converts RS-485 to I2C directly. You might want to check with the MSP430 team for a low cost uC that has an I2C interface and an RS-485 interface on the same die. Off the top of my head I am not sure if this type of solution exists.
