Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS280BR810

For a new optical service card , looking for a solution to deal with linear SFP28 ports.

Can you advise if this part is designed for SFP28 and FC32G optical interfaces or is it targeted towards driving 100Gbps QSFP over copper cables?

We're interested to know if applications requiring 28GBPS on multimode fiber are targeted by this device?

If you can share more information on this part and the market it addresses, it would be great.

  • Hi Eli,

The DS280BR810 is primarily targeted for:

    1. 25G and 28G front-port applications requiring support for passive copper cables including Auto-Negotiation and Link Training
    2. 25G and 28G backplane applications, especially those requiring Link Training

For your specific application--SFP28 and FC32G optical interfaces--I would recommend a different device. I will contact you offline to discuss the product offering we have for your application.

    Best regards,

    Casey
