SN65HVD233 and CAN2.0B

I am inquiring about a component, specifically the SN65HVD233. This part looks ideal for my application but I am curious if this is compliant with CAN2.0B as it does not state in the datasheet.

    Hi Roman,

    The CAN2.0B specification actually doesn't include the physical layer characteristics that would be relevant for a transceiver chip like SN65HVD233. It relates more to the CAN protocol/data link layer. The physical layer (i.e., properties of the actual electrical signals on the bus sent and received by a transceiver chip) are defined in ISO 11898-2, which is referenced in the SN65HVD233 datasheet. The device could be used with a CAN2.0B-compliant controller, though.
