Dear TI experts,

can you please recommend me which IC to use for next task:

I have Tablet with USB-C (Z580) and i want to make device that will allow to charge this tablet in UFP mode.

So, tablet should work with USB stick and should be able to be charged in same time. As i understand i should use DRP for that.

I have ordered 2xTPS65982-EVM and tried to charge only the tablet - but as i can see - EVM can't charge tablet at any mode.

please help.

After some testing, i found that TPS65982-EVM in mode 6 (Charger-Adapter (or AC Adapter)) start working after 5 minutes after plugging cable to the Tablet... During this time LED CC1 blinking very fast. Could somebody explain that?

Hello Sergii,

Can you tell me more about your system set-up?

What is the USB-C controller in the tablet?
- What are the power profiles the tablet can support? (If no PD then only a 5V contract will be established)
Regarding the TPS65982-EVMs, have you updated to the latest FW using the TPS6598X-Config tool?
- Once you have updated please run your test again and let me know what you see
