Gentlemen,

I need an educated opinion from you, experts in this matter, to take the right road about the following: 

I am planning to use the TRS3232E-Q1 in an automotive application, but... Is enough ESD protection the one contained in the chip?

Would be, in your opinion, a good design practice to use only the internal protection? If no, please, could you point me to the right choice (layout, components..)?
