[TUSB9261] Power-up and power-down sequence

My customer has a question about power-up and power-down sequence of TUSB9261.

In 8.3.2.4 Power-Up and Reset Sequence, the following constraints are described.

Bus contention while VDD33 is powered up must be limited to 100 hours over the projected lifetime of the device.

Bus contention while VDD33 is powered down may violate the absolute maxumum ratings.

What does "bus contention" mean in this case?

Hi Masumi-san

"Bus contention" is when two (or more) ASICs fight for control of the bus simultaneously.

Does "the bus" include not only USB but also other I/Os such as SATA/UART/SPI and so on?

Yes, Bus contention refers to any present bus in the system subject to such condition.
