8/10-bit Parallel or MIPI to LVDS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LV1023A, SN75DPHY440SS

I am trying to determine the best way to transmit data from an imager over a distance up to 3 meters. From the parallel output would it be best to use an SN65LV1023A or the DS90UB913Q? I'm guessing the latter is better because that includes the HSYNC/VSYNC lines. From the LVDS bus I could then use one of the matching deserializers to get back to parallel data out. Is there a one chip solution to get from parallel to CSI-2?

The application will have multiple cameras on the LVDS bus that will be muxed. Data will only need to be recieved from 1 camera at a time.

An alternative (ideal?) would be to transmit the MIPI data over that distance, but I haven't found much information on how to get MIPI over long distances.
