Hi,

My customer would like to use dynamic D3 mode in TUSB7340.

In the documentation SLLA318, it can be operate to dynamic D3 with setting of Dynamic_D3_EN and XI_WAKE_EN.

Is there additional setting needed for dynamic D3 mode?

And how can I check dynamic D3 operation?

Without dynamic D3 mode, is there any method for lower power consumption?

    Hello David,

    There is no additional configuration to enable the Dynamic D3 operation, besides the application note you mentioned. You can check the mode by monitoring the WAKE# signal and the power consumption during the suspended state (200 mW higher than when this mode is disabled).

    Only the standard PCI power states are supported by the TUSB7340, only the D3 dynamic state allows the controller to wake up without a USB clock.
