Hi,

I have question regarding current consumption of ISO3086T explained below, could you please answer

as per datasheet page no 7 figure 2 the current consumption of the device at full load with data rate= 15Mbps at VCC2=5V current ICC2 =53mA , is this current value includes external transformer and LDO loses or only ISO3086T device current consumption at VCC2=5V supply.

Hi,

53mA in Figure 2 is typical current consumption by ISO3086T only. It doesn't include losses in external transformer and LDO.

Hi Saleem,

Thanks for the answer, I have one more query, In my design I am planning to connect ISO3086T supply pin VCC1 = 3.3V and Tran former (DA2303-AL) supply input to=5.0V. can you please tell me is it fine or do we need to connect same supply for both IC supply pin and transformer input pin.

It is fine. You don't need to connect the same supply to isolator VCC1 and transformer input pin.
