DS90UB940 Replicated mode and continuos clock mode

Hi,

Currently we are using the TI LanchPad for the DS90UB940 connected via MIPI into a SoC.

We have noticed that when configuring SEL0 for 2-lane replicated output that we get different behavior between DS90UB940 CSI0 and CSI1 ports. Currently SEL0 has a value of 0.974volts, according to the datasheet this should be "2 data lanes, both csi active SEL1 override) I would expect same CSI0 and CSI1 behavior according to our SoC.

Additionally it seems that the system is interruptint the MIPI clock on the blanking intervals we used TI Launch pad windows application for configuring the DS90UB940 by not setting: ULPS and ULPM, and also set CONTS_CLK for continuous clock, but it seems like the clock is not on active mode.

Any suggestions about the DS90UB940 config for replicated mode and continuous clock mode?

Regards.

  • Hi,

Additionally we have found this behaviour on the board:

When selecting continuous clock mode, set bit 1 on register 0x6A (as indicated on: e2e.ti.com/.../1745275 , the clock stops working, is there any reason for this to happen? are we missing something? Please advice. We need to configure the device on 2-lane mode, continuous clock mode.

    For this we are doing:
    -SEL0: 0.974v
    -register 0x6A, bit1 set.

    Thank you,
    Carlos
