TLK2711

Hi

Does the 4 & 6 Kohm internal resistors I see on the TLK2711 datasheet on Fig 12 mean that there will be a constant output from the device even if the RX link is not connected at all (DINRXP/ N pins are left floating) ?

If so, what will the value over the RXD bus in such a floating input situation, "0" or "1" ?

If not, what action should I take to insure constant output level even if no input is coming?

I guess a pull up/ down resistors are required over the DINRXP/ N pins, but what values are recommended?

Thanks

Amnon

  • Hi Amnon,

These figures (11&12) represent the pins of the IC making the termination internal to the TLK2711. Hence, if the RX link is not connected the output signal will not toggle, although I need to confirm if this signal is 1 or 0. Please let me check this, ASAP I will let you know.
