Hola TI,

I have a questions about TMDS261B application and please you give me a suggestions for whether this device is suitable for our application. Thank you ～

We have a outdoor display signboard project and its operation flow is describe as below：

It will have two player to play the advertisement on our display signboard, one of player is the main source and the other one is a spare part for main source

damaged. Can let TMDS261B be used between these two player if the first player is stop working then it can switch to the second player to continue play the

advertisement on our display signboard？Does it suitable for this application？Thank you ～

Hi Jacky,

in your application you want to switch automatically from damage source to spare source? If this is the case that's not possible.

However you may have a small control to achieve this application.

If damaged source stops sending data and clock you can use the clock detect feature.

Read via I²C clock detected register, if clock is not detected, then change source.
