Dear specialists,

Please let me ask a question about TLK110.

My customer is considering using TLK110 in RMII mode to next model.

The following note is described on SLVA531A.pdf page 27 Figure29.
"MUST BE CONNECTED WHEN WORKING IN RMII MODE"

I understand that the TXD[3:0] are pulled down by internal resistor.

Could you please tell me why the TXD_3 pin must connect to the GND
through the pull down resistor?

In addition,does the TXD_2 pin not have to connect the GND through
the pull down resistor?

Hi Tsuyoshi Tokumoto,

The TLK110 has an internal test mode that is enabled by pulling the TXD_3 pin high.

Pulling TXD_3 low ensures the device operates in normal mode.

It is a good idea to pull an unused input like TXD_2 to a known state, but it is not required to pull TXD_2 down if it is difficult on your board.
