TPD4S1394 - only using as TVS diode without Vcc

Hi all,

Would you mind if we ask TPD4S1394?

Is it possible to use as TVS diode without Vcc?
Our customer would like to use TPD4S1394 without Vcc(no supply).
In this case, is ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS the same as supplied case?

    Hi,

    Yes, this is possible using only pins 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 but not very practical. Please let me know if there is a particular reason why you would choose to provide 4-channel ESD protection with this device? We have many to choose from and most, if not all, of them have higher IEC 61000-4-2 ratings. I can most likely suggest a better part from our product line.

    Of course, we recognize that other TVS diodes have higher IEC 61000-4-2 ratings.
    Our customer would like to use lower Break down voltage TVS diode.
    As the result, we chose TPD4S1394.
