Hi Sir,

Sorry to bother you.

We have use TPD4E05U06 at USB data line.

We would like to check TPD4E05U06 is possible use at 5V power line?

If not, could we have suitable soluiton could support it?

Hello,

Yes, this can be used to support a 5V rail. I am curious though, typically a bypass capacitor would be used at an interface for a power rail. Are you planning to use one? It may be sufficient to suppress ESD.

Let me ask you a question.

How about the 3.3V(CMOS) signal system?

I suppose it is OK to use due to DC break-down is 6.5V(Min).

Is my idea correct?

Sorry, let me ask you one more question please.

This device pin has + and - naming, for example D1+ and D1-.
But I think both are same function according to the block diagram of the datasheet.
Is there any difference between both pins?
Or is it possible to use both pin opposite side??

Hi,

You are correct. The 3.3V signal will be well below the minimum breakdown voltage of the diode.

The pins just show a typical connection of differential signal inputs. The pins can be used with any connection scheme, as long as the recommended operating conditions are not violated. I hope this helps!
