TPS65982 / Barrel Jack Detection

Hi Team,

Configuration tool version 1.7.0 (newest tool) shows there is "Barrel Jack Detection" as the following.




On the other hand, "Configuration tool user's guide (page.18)" shows it isn't implemented.

Can I implement "Barrel Jack Detection" feature to use Configuration tool version 1.7.0?

    Hi Yaita-san,

    We are in the process of updating the configuration tool user guide, however, this feature is implemented in the tool and documented in the Firmware User's guide which can be found on TI.com. In the FW user's guide Table 10. GPIO Events, Barrel Jack Detection is defined (table refers to it as Barrel_Jack_Event).

    Hi Karl-san,

    I saw the Firmware User's guide as you said, however couldn't understand detail about Barrel Jack Detection feature.
    Is there any application note how to use the feature?
    Could you also tell me when I can see the new configuration tool user's guide?

    Hi Karl-san,

    I would like to know what is occured when "Set Externally Powered = 1".
    I couldn't catch the feature in datasheet, application note, etc..
