Using TPS65982/86 as Device/Consumer with a normal USB 2.0/3.0 Host

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65982

Hi all,

I've tried the TPS65982/86 successfully with a real USB-C host. But it still does not work correctly if using a normal USB host.

The problem is that the USB host does not support CC configuration. So when I check the log file (by using read_register Python script), it says DataConnection is disconnected (Data Status 0x5f), thus I think the USB Mux is not enable.

Guess I have to control the register of TPS65982/86 directly. Is it okay to manually control the "0x28 System Configuration" register, bit 34-33 USBPath to enable "USB RP path"?

Or is there other way to activate the USB Mux in this case?

Attached is the log file (read_register) and the Config file I'm using. Pls help to check and advise. Thank you all.
