TPD2E009 current limit

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD2E009

Hi,

I would like you to confirm about below.

* Is there any data about following information is included ?

  - Case which low current (around 2-3 A) is supplied long time (a few "ms".)

According to datasheet of TPD2E009, following spec and figure are described.

However, this spec and figure indicate only range of  "us".

So, I would like to get data which indicate range of "ms"

Best Regards,

Machida

  • Hi Machida,

TPD2E009 is a TVS meant to suppress voltages transiting for times on the order of nano-seconds or micro-seconds. The diodes are very small so that they offer little capacitance to high-speed signals, yet they are quite robust at sinking transient currents as defined by IEC 61000-4-2 and IEC 61000-4-5. Due to the device definition and targeted performance range, they are not meant to be sinking current for milli-seconds. Perhaps if you let me know what you are trying to accomplish I can provide a solution.

    Thanks and Regards,
  • Hi Yater-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I think this case is not normal case.
I need to show you customer case to explain what I want you to confirm.
So, since I will send you my email address, could you please discuss this internally ?

    Best regards,
    Machida
  • I'm Sorry, I knew your email address, so I will send you detail later.
