Hi All,

In the current design I am using TX device: sn65mlvd047 , RX device: sn65mlvd2

I want to replace the RX device to sn65lvds4 from sn65mlvd2. Do you see any issues with this?

The reason for replacement: sn65mlvd2 operates at 3.3V and needs an external buffer to down convert it to 1.8V.

Hello Darshan

If you consider the difference about Vth, Voh and Vol I think you won't have any problem with this device.
As a small summary I let you these data

MLVD2 LVDS4
Vth 35mV / Hyst 25mV 50mV
Voh 2.4V 1.55V
Vol .4V .25V

Other thing that you need to consider is about of two power supply in LVDS4, in table 3 you can see the power supply acceptable combinations.

In case of timing, the new one is faster, so I think you won't have problems with this part.
