TCA9617A Level-Translating FM+ I2C Bus Repeater

Hi Leo,
Yes, i2C master can drive the B-side of the TCA9617A with slaves connected to the A-side. Just make sure you meet the voltage requirements of the A and B side.
We recommend using TCA9617B over TCA9617A since B version has the power-off hi-Z feature.

Thanks for the confirmation - impossible to figure it out from the simplified schematic of the device internals. Perhaps it would be worth mentioning this in the datasheet as the examples are given with the master on the A-side only and it looks like only A-sides can be connected in a star configuration. Thanks again!
