Bit map of DS90C387A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90C387A, DS90C387, DS90CF388A

Hi,
I am working on LCD AUO G215HVN01.0
I am using DS90C387A to interface to the LCD in dual pixel mode.

I've confirmed the bit map in the app note SLLA325A, which match the LCD input data format, as below.
www.ti.com/.../slla325a.pdf

However, it seems that DS90C387A does not include VSYNC, HSYNC on the A6±, which is RES in the figure 15 below.

Is there anyway to set the RES bit to VSYNC, HSYNC ?
Or can you suggest other device which suit to this LCD data format?

Do you have the bit map of DS90C387A in single pixe model, single pixcel input to dual pixel output mode, which is not included in the datasheet.?

I also attach the LCD datasheet.

Thank you very much
Le

  • Hi Le,

I looked at the LCD datasheet, and from the description, it looks like the HS/VS/DE on RxINE2 are not being used by the screen:

The DS90C387A cannot be made so that HS/VS/DE are duplicated on the A6+/- output. However, this duplicate set of signals may not be required by the end display. When mapping our DS90C387A to a DS90CF388A, the deserializer does not use the duplicate HS/VS/DE signals that could possibly appear on the RxINE2+/- input, and all HS/VS/DE signaling is referenced back to the HS/VS/DE signals that are presented on the RxINO2+/- pair. Could you double-check with AUO to determine if the HS/VS/DE on RxINE2+/- is required. If so, we can look for ways to fix this. I believe the best solution in this case would be to route the HS and VS signals on the parallel LVCMOS side of the DS90C387A to B27 and B26, respectively (see Figure 17 in the DS90C387 datasheet).

There are two places where you can reference the bit mapping of the DS90C387A in SISO, DIDO, and SIDO modes. One way is to view the mapping on the DS90C387 datasheet (the mapping is the same). Another one is to reference App Note SNLA014.

    Thanks,

    Michael

  • Thank you very much, Michael.
I will confirm AUO for more information.
