Hi,

Is it possible to connect RES pins (#43, #44) of DS90UB914A-Q1 to GND via current limit resistor such as 10kohm?

What my customer is concerned that, in the case of RES pins(#43, #44) and VDDPLL pin(#45) which is located just next of RES pins make short circuit at the outside of DS90UB914A-Q1, it results the short circuit between 1.8V supply and GND. In order to prevent excessive current flow to GND, possibly use resistor inbetween RES pin and GND.

Hello Ken,

Tying directly to GND or through 10k pulldown resistor are both OK. Assuming that your layout is OK and trace spacing between VDDPLL and RES is sufficient, there should be no need for a pulldown.

Quick confirmation, GPIO[1:0] GPIO[3:2] pins do not have internal pull-up/down resistor, correct?
