DS125DF410 Register 0xFF Bit 2 has a problem (Bit 0 bit 1 bit 2 etc...)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS125DF410

Hi,

According to the data sheet of DS125DF410 , register 0xFF bits from 0 to 7 have all Read/Write feature. But Whenever I try to write to bit 2 (like 0x04) or any combination of bits with bit2 (setting 1) I am getting A5 when I read register 0xFF. If I leave bit 2 as zero and play with the rest of the bits of register 0xFF, they are ok. This doesn't make any sense according to the data sheet of this part (DS125DF410)

Thanks and best regards,

  • Hi Bugra,

In the datasheet in Section 7.6.4, we state that "the contents of the channel select register, reg 0xff, cannot be read back over the SMBus. The DS125DF410 will accept the register write you initiate, but it will not respond with the written value if you attempt to read back. Aside from other bits that are Read-Only or Self-Clearing, only Reg 0xFF operates in this manner.
