VOL of Sx/Sy of P82B96

The VOL of Sx/Sy of P82B96 is around 0.8 V. I would like to reduce it to 0.4 V maximum. Any kind of solution? Cascade another chip?

Hi,
You can connect a TCA9517 in series with the P82B96 and have the VCC of TCA9517 at >=3.3V. For TCA9517 to detect a low signal the input signal must be less than 0.3Vcc. At 0.8V Vol and Vcc=3.3V for TCA9517, the input signal is less than 0.3Vcc.

Hello Rajan,

The datasheet of TCA9517 says:

The B-side drivers operate from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. The output low level for this internal buffer is approximately 0.5 V, but the input voltage must be 70 mV or more below the output low level when the output internally is driven low.

Is it will be a problem if we connect B-side to Sx/Sy of P82B96?
