TPS65982 / Exit from Sleep state

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65982

Hi Team,

Firmware user's guide(page.20) shows the following about exit from Sleep state.

Does "Exit from Sleep" occures when BARREL_JACK_EVENT(GPIO event) occures?
I would also like to know if "Exit from Idle" occures when BARREL_JACK_EVENT occures.

Your support would be appreciated.

Best Regards,
Yaita / Japan disty

  • Yes, both transitions will occur due to “BARREL_JACK_EVENT”. Per the TPS65982 Datasheet, both “Exit from Sleep” and “Exit from Idle” transitions will occur due to any interrupt event. Any GPIO Input Event, such as “BARREL_JACK_EVENT”, will initiate an interrupt.
  • Hi Joey-san,

    I appreciate for your support.
I would like to ask an additional question.

If VDDIO(connected to LDO_3V3) and GPIO(barrel jack detection) that is pull-up to LDO_3V3 rise same time, could TPS65982 detect BARREL_JACK_EVENT?
I concern about it because it seems BARREL_JACK_EVENT is triggered upon "Rising edge".

    Your support would be appreciated.

    Best Regards,
    Yaita
